Mount Leuser National Park, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam


The Leuser mountain national park (TNGL) was the nature panorama that was determined by the Indonesian Government as the national nature reserve since 1980. Widely TNGL was 792.675 hectare with the height 3404 m. from sea level. This national park was located in the border of the province of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam and North Sumatra.

The forest in TNGL very luxuriant and had the tropics rainforest and the coastal forest type. In this national park region was gotten the river, the lake, the hot spring, valley, and the waterfall.


There were 6 main locations of the tour in the Leuser Mountain National Park that is Bohorok or the Lawang Hill the place of conservation of the orang-utan, Kluet the cave tourist attraction, the lake, and the river, the Leuser mountain with the climb tour, the Alas river for the rafting tourist attraction, Sekunder is the camped place and the cave tour, and Gurah with the nature panorama that was beautiful.

This national park could be reached from Kutacane, Southeast Aceh, in a travelling by car to the best of 35 km
